Or Why I’m an Accunect Practitioner
Does anyone remember hearing Oprah Winfrey ask various people the question “What do you know for sure?” I remember really enjoying hearing people’s answers to that question. That question popped into my mind today, and I thought I’d share some of my own insights on what I know for sure.
If you’re like me (i.e., human) you’ve gone through some challenges in your life. During my early adult life, I went through a series of difficult challenges. During my 30’s, all the stress had taken a toll, and I became very ill, and wasn’t recovering. I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). I struggled to stay awake and have energy to do the simplest tasks. I had three children at home, my husband worked full-time, and I had to quit the part-time job I had. I remember when I’d be shopping, for example, I’d literally want to lie down on the floor in the store and go to sleep. It was a very difficult time, to say the least. Today, having largely recovered (thanks to various forms of energy healing and Accunect), I am living a full and vibrant life.
As I look back on all the challenges in my life, one thing stands out to me, and shines brightly over everything I went through. What shines are all the people who showed up to help me, in big ways, and small ways. What shines are all the “helpers”, as Mr. Rogers called them. I know that all of these people had suffered in their own lives (inescapable as humans), and had learned something important (always about love in some form) that they shared with me in various ways according to their own unique gifts. I’ve learned that we are all on a healing journey, and that part of the healing also comes from being a helper. I’ve come to learn that one of the things that brings people the greatest joy in life is to be able to serve others in their own unique way.
For me, one of my gifts, and joys, is working as an Accunect Practitioner, and supporting people on their healing journey — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I often work with clients who live with chronic health conditions, as well as those who live with difficult life or family situations, and those who’ve experienced past trauma. I delight when my clients experience relief, or a reduction in the frequency or severity of any type of symptoms, and when they express to me that they are experiencing greater levels of self-love and empowerment. To me, this means I have been blessed to witness miracles.
So, what do I know for sure? I know that during all of life’s challenges there are helpers. I know we all have our own unique gifts. I know that sometimes our gifts grow when exposed to our life’s challenges. And, I know sharing our gifts in service to others brings us some of our greatest joy in life. I know that we are all connected. I am so thankful for all the helpers in my life, and for my ability to be a helper that comes alongside others as we all lift one another up.
If I was a sculptor, but then again no
Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show
Oh I know it’s not much but it’s the best I can do
My gift is my song
And this one’s for you
